Genus Power & Infrastructures Limited, a smart meter manufacturer, is in discussions with a group of investors, including sovereign funds and development finance institutions, for an equity funding round. The company is currently in discussions with GIC and IFC, among other investors, to raise $500 million (around Rs 41 billion). The company is also likely to be in talks with a few Canadian pension funds and private equity funds focused on infrastructure investments.
