Indian Railways (IR) is expected to launch its first Vande Bharat service in Tripura by July 2024 as the electrification work on the Dharmanagar to Agartala route is nearing completion. Furthermore, IR is likely to launch Vande Bharat train services on the routes between Saharsa to Howrah and Jayanagar to Delhi via Muzaffarpur. Moreover, a Vande Bharat Sleeper train service is being planned from Patna to New Delhi.
