IR rolls out user depot manual digitally across all user depots of Western Railway

IR rolled out its user depot manual (UDM) digitally across all user depots of Western Railway on September 28, 2020. The UDM was developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems. Reportedly, the system will be implemented across all zones of IR soon. While the supply chain up to the user depot has been digitalised, the activities at the user end are still being done manually. The system will increase economy, efficiency and transparency, and improve asset management.
