India is planning to open 100 additional airports by 2024, as part of a plan to revive economic growth in the country. For this, the government has committed investments worth Rs 1 trillion for the next five years. The proposal was discussed in a meeting which also included discussions on starting 1,000 new routes connecting smaller towns and villages besides capacity creation plans.
