The first infrastructure investment trust (InvIT) to be set up by a government entity is likely to take off by end June 2020, with NHAI filing an application with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). NHAI plans to offer 19 projects worth Rs 350 billion under the InvIT. Of these, two-three projects worth Rs 50 billion-Rs 60 billion are expected to be taken up first.
