NLC commissions 500 MW Unit-1 of New Neyveli TPP

NLC India Limited has commissioned the 500 MW Unit 1 of the 1,000 MW New Neyveli lignite-based TPP in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. This is the first time in the country that a thermal unit with over 250 MW capacity based on lignite has been commissioned. The second unit of the project is also at an the advanced stage of commissioning.
