V.O. Chidambaranar Port has handled 133,520 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) during April-July period of FY 2025-26. This marks an increase of 40.01 per cent as compared to the corresponding period of FY 2024-25 when the port handled 95,364 tonnes of LPG.
This achievement highlights the port’s strategic role in strengthening the region’s energy supply chain and meeting the increasing demand efficiently.
