Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has completed the electrification works at Mandale depot’s test track under the Mumbai Metro Line 2B project (DN Nagar-Mankhurd-Mandale-Cheetah Nagar).
Meanwhile, the first train for the stretch has been rolled out with preparations for trial runs underway. The 5.6 km Mandale-Diamond Garden stretch under the project is likely to be operational by the end of 2025.
The project will connect DN Nagar, Andheri to Mandale and subsequently to Cheetah Nagar near Trombay in Maharashtra spanning a length of 24.6 km.
