The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has approved Rs 1.09 billion under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) for 10 rural road projects in six districts of Himachal Pradesh.
The key approved highways include the Rohru-Chirgaon-Dodrakawar road, the Jakhyol-Ramehra-Sulkhan-Dhirwin road, and the Junalla-Karloti-Chhat-Berthin road. Additionally, link roads connecting Pirsaluhi (Kangra) to Kitpal (Hamirpur), Puyad-Tikkari via Dharli and the Thathar Tripal-Mehwa Panchayat road, along with the Saheed Tej Singh Smarak Jatta-Ra-Nullah to Kukrigalu via Harijan Basti Saloun, Katloun and Chhamyar had been included.
Another key project is the construction of a bridge with a span of 35 m connecting Nehwat, Nayaser, Ghaini, and Devidhart. Additionally, a road with culverts and metalling/ tarring from Kanshiwala to Biroja Factory via Jable Ka Bag, Kanol Lag, and Batuni Morch has also been sanctioned.
