Central Railway (CR) has achieved total freight loading of 67.11 million tonnes (mt) and generated freight revenue of Rs 72.17 billion during 2024-25 (till January 31, 2025). Division-wise, the zone registered freight loading of 36.85 mt in Nagpur division and 19.04 mt in Mumbai division for the same period.
Further, in January 2025, CR recorded freight loading of 7.83 mt and freight revenue of Rs 8 billion. Commodity-wise, the zone registered an increase of 24 per cent in sugar (62 rakes), 15.7 per cent in container traffic (847 rakes), and 10.1 per cent in petroleum products, among others.
