Trichy Corporation to develop 10 km IBT Link Road

The Trichy Corporation is set to develop a 10 km link road to connect the upcoming Integrated Bus Terminus (IBT) in Panjapur. The project, which runs along the banks of the Koraiyar and Kudamurutti rivers, will be executed in three phases.

The first phase has received administrative approval, with a budget allocation of Rs 0.68 billion. The road will be approximately 9 meter wide and will include five elevated sections totaling 5 km, located at Rajiv Gandhi Nagar railway crossing (E Pudur), Dindigul NH (Karumandapam), Kuzhumayee Amman Temple (behind the district collector’s office), Vayalur Road (MM Nagar), and Karur NH (near Kudamurutti).

A 400 meter approach road will also be constructed at key intersections. With a total projected cost of Rs 3.67 billion, the project is awaiting technical approval from the municipal administration department before tenders are issued for construction.
