IndiGo plans for 100 additional small aircraft

IndiGo is planning for an order of at least 100 smaller aircraft in line with plans for expanding its regional network, with discussions underway with ATR, Embraer, and Airbus.

The airline operates 45 78-seater ATR-72 aircraft, and five additional aircraft are expected to come in this year. The partnership with ATR is likely to be continued, but the Airbus A220 and Embraer’s E-175 aircraft are also being considered.
