Operations at Numaligarh refinery to commence by December 2025

Operations at the Numaligarh refinery are likely to commence by December 2025. It would process about 180,000 barrels per day (bpd) crude, of which 110,000 bpd is likely to be imported and remaining via local production. The project involves capacity expansion of the Numaligarh refinery in Assam from 3 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) to 9 mtpa by setting up of a crude oil pipeline Paradip port in Odisha to Numaligarh in Assam, and product pipeline from Numaligarh in Assam to Siliguri marketing terminal in West Bengal.
