NLC India Renewables Limited has received a letter of award (LoA) from Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for setting up 600 MW of renewable energy capacity coupled with 300 MW/1,800 MWh of energy storage systems, out of a larger 1,200 MW project with 600 MW/3,600 MWh of storage.
The project has been awarded under a tariff-based competitive bidding process. Under the terms of the award, power generated from the project will be supplied under a 25 year power purchase agreement. The scheduled commencement of supply date for the full project capacity has been set at 24 months from the effective date of the power purchase agreement.
