Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company, UAE, a subsidiary of ADNOC Gas, have signed a 10-year sale purchase agreement (SPA) for the procurement of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
As per the agreement, HPCL will receive LNG at the LNG storage and regasification terminal located at Chhara in Gujarat which has a capacity of 5 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).
The move is expected to cater to the needs at the refineries, the city gas distribution (CGD) network and the gas demands from various sectors.
