The government of Goa has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Starlink Satellite Communications Private Limited to enhance digital connectivity in the state. The partnership will focus on delivering high-speed satellite broadband to locations with limited or no terrestrial network coverage, including government schools, healthcare facilities, and disaster management centres.
The MoU was signed between the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITE&C) and Starlink. Under the agreement, both sides will explore collaboration to improve digital connectivity, strengthen emergency response and disaster management capabilities, and support smart governance initiatives across Goa.
Further, the government of Goa said it remains committed to using technology as a key enabler of digital transformation and improving the overall quality of life for citizens.
