Indian artificial intelligence (AI) cloud company BharathCloud has partnered with JLL to support its planned expansion across India and select international markets. Under the arrangement, JLL will act as an advisory partner for BharathCloud’s proposed $100 million investment in AI cloud infrastructure.
BharathCloud plans to undertake the $100 million investment over the next five years, subject to board approvals. As part of the engagement, JLL will assist the company with colocation site selection, as well as design support and portfolio optimisation.
The company is targeting major Indian cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Pune. In addition, it is exploring opportunities in Vizag, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Coimbatore, Kochi, Chandigarh and Bhopal.
Further, BharathCloud’s long-term objective is to build a distributed, sovereign, AI-ready cloud footprint across India, while also remaining open to evaluating suitable locations overseas.
