DFCCIL handles 892 interchange trains in a single day

The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has handled a total of 892 interchange trains between the dedicated freight corridor (DFC) network and total five zones of the Indian Railways (IR) on January 5, 2026. This represents the highest interchange achieved since commissioning of the corridors. Besides, the previous record stood at 865 trains, which was achieved on January 4, 2026.

Moreover, the effective regulation of trains speed, maintenance of safe headway, and close coordination between adjoining stations, led the trains to cross the stations in minimal time.
