The Assam cabinet has approved the MRO Policy of Assam, 2025. The policy targets the creation of world-class MRO facilities, expected to meet the needs for both civil and defence aviation. Reportedly, at least three fully operational MRO facilities are targeted to be established by 2030, attracting a cumulative investment entailing over Rs 15 billion. The move targets to position the state as a leading hub for MRO in Northeast India by 2030.
