Indian Railways (IR) has manufactured a total of 4,224 Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches during 2025-26 (till November 2025), representing an increase of 18 per cent over corresponding period of the last year.
Moreover, factory wise it registered production of 1,659 coaches by Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai; 1,234 coaches by Modern Coach Factory (MCF), Raebareli; and 1,331 coaches by Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala.
