Prime Minister dedicates two reactors at Kakrapar atomic power station in Surat

The Prime Minister has dedicated two new pressurised heavy water reactors with a total capacity of 1,400 MW at the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station in Surat, Gujarat, to the nation. The new Unit 3 and Unit 4 at KAPS, capable of producing 700 MW of electricity each, were constructed by the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited at a cost of over Rs 225 billion.
