A full scale aircraft emergency exercise (FSAEE) was conducted at the Mumbai airport on November 22, 2023. This was for testing in real-time the emergency preparedness of multiple stakeholders. The FSAEE was earlier conducted in 2019 and 2021 and is a biennial exercise. Further, conducting a full-scale aircraft emergency exercise once every two years is mandated by the International Civil Aviation Organisation and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) regulations.
