Construction work for Wagholi and Lohegaon WSS may start soon

Pune Municipal Corporation is likely to commence the construction work for Wagholi and Lohegaon WSS in Pune, Maharashtra by September 2023. The project involves construction of 13 new overhead tanks, augmenting 11 existing tanks, laying of a trunk line to fetch water and setting up a network of 500 km long distribution line. The 60 mld Bhama Askhed project has been considered the primary source of water. A trunk line will be laid to fetch water to the distribution network and overhead tanks. The water will flow as per gravity. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 2.8 billion.
