The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has laid the foundation stone of three national highway (NH) projects in Bikaner and inaugurated one project in Nagaur, Rajasthan. The first project for which the foundation stone was laid is the two-lane, 162.46 km Raisinghnagar-Poogal national highway stretch. The road is being constructed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana in engineering, procurement and construction mode at a cost of Rs 6.87 billion. The second project, also under Bharatmala, includes construction of the four/two-lane Khajuwala-Poogal and Poogal–Dantour-Jaggasar-Gokul-Godu-Ranjeetpura-Charanwala-Naukh-Bap sections of NH-911. The project spans 212.11 km and is being undertaken on the hybrid annuity model (HAM), at an estimated cost of Rs 8.95 billion. The third project includes construction of the two/four-lane Bikaner-Phalodi section of NH-15 under Phase IV of the National Highways Development Programme on a build-operate-transfer basis. Spanning 159.3 km, the project is estimated to cost Rs 8.44 billion. The inaugurated project involved two-laning of the 119.59 km Salasar-Nagaur section of NH-65 on a HAM basis at a cost of Rs 4.8 billion.
