MoRTH lays foundation stone for five national highway projects in Ayodhya

The MoRTH has laid the foundation stone for five national highway projects in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Together, these span a total length of 632 km and are estimated to cost Rs 71.95 billion. These projects are the beautification of the Ayodhya section of the Lucknow-Ayodhya highway at a cost of Rs 550 million; four-laning of the Ayodhya-Akbarpur section of the Ayodhya-Varanasi highway at a cost of Rs 10.81 billion; construction of the four-lane, 46 km Ayodhya ring road at a cost of Rs 12.89 billion; construction of the 44 km Mohanganj-Shringverpur section of the Ram Vangaman Marg at a cost of Rs 4.78 billion; and construction of the 91 km Bikapur-Rudauli-Murtihanghat section of Ayodhya’s 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg at a cost of Rs 8.96 billion. The Ram Vangaman Marg project stretches 262 km from Ayodhya to Chitrakoot and is estimated to cost Rs 20.2 billion, while the 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg is a 275 km stretch, entailing an investment of Rs 27.5 billion.
