The Ministry of Power has released the distribution utilities ranking report for FY 2024-25, presenting a data-driven assessment of 66 distribution utilities across parameters such as financial performance, consumer service, renewable purchase obligation compliance, communicable system metering, demand side response and resource adequacy.
The report shows improved discom performance driven by reforms, digitalisation and greater financial discipline. Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited ranked first overall with a score of 92.5, followed by Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited and Noida Power Company Limited. Among other distribution utilities, Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited emerged as the top performer, while Assam Power Distribution Company Limited led the special category states segment.
