Karnataka cabinet approves land for bio CNG unit at Bengaluru in Karnataka

The Karnataka cabinet has approved the allotment of 18 acres of land at Haralakunte village in Begur Hobli, Bengaluru, to Gas Authority of India Limited for setting up a bio-CNG unit with a capacity of 300 tonnes per day (tpd). The capacity of the facility is expandable up to 500 tpd. Land has been approved on a permissive use basis for 25 years. Further, the land would be surveyed jointly by Karnataka’s Revenue Department and Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited.
