Commercial operations have commenced on the extended taxiway at the Ahmedabad Airport. It has been extended from the existing 1,500 m to 1,895 m. Construction work of an additional taxiway near runway 05 for the expansion of the apron is underway and is likely to be completed by May 2024. Moreover, five additional aircraft parking stands are planned at the expanded apron area. The project involves the runway expansion at the Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat.
