The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) has approved the construction of a road over bridge (ROB) at LC-235 at Deendayal Port Authority. With an estimated at a cost of Rs 1,325.1 million, the project is part of the Sagarmala Programme and aligned with the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.
The project was appraised by the Delegated Investment Board to ensure compliance with modern safety and technical standards. It will be executed by Western Railway.
The ROB will address key bottlenecks caused by rail crossings, enabling smoother and uninterrupted cargo movement. This is expected to reduce congestion, speed up cargo evacuation, and enhance operational efficiency at the port.
