VA Tech Wabag has won the contract for the implementation of the 45 mld Kodungaiyur Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) Plant Refurbishment Project, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Bids for the same were invited by Chennai Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board on December 5, 2025.
The scope of work involves refurbish, finance, operate, maintain and transfer the 45 mld TTRO Plant at Kodungaiyur through public private partnership. The work is expected to be completed in 18 months, while the operations period for the same is 18.5 years making the concessioning period of 20 years.
