BSNL and Viasat will deploy Ka-band satellite systems for the Indian Navy as part of a satellite communications equipment modernisation programme. Under an agreement signed between BSNL and the Indian defence forces, Viasat’s high-capacity Ka-band satellite systems will be rolled out alongside the existing L-band infrastructure to deliver enhanced and secure connectivity for Indian naval platforms.
