Adani Enterprises has announced plans to invest $100 billion to build renewable powered, artificial intelligence (AI) ready data centres by 2035, as part of efforts to position India strongly in the global AI landscape.
The company said the investment is expected to attract an additional $150 billion across related sectors, including server manufacturing and sovereign cloud platforms. Combined, this could create a $250 billion AI infrastructure ecosystem in India over the next decade. According to the company, the investment will support a model that links renewable energy generation, power grid resilience and AI computing.
Further, as per Adani, it will expand its existing 2-gigawatt (GW) data centre capacity to 5 GW, with the aim of creating the world’s largest integrated data centre platform. However, it did not specify a timeline for this scale-up.
