Cairn Oil and Gas completes installation of SST at Ambe offshore block at Cambay basin in Gujarat

Cairn Oil and Gas, part of the Vedanta Group, has successfully completed the installation of India’s first sub-sea template (SST) at the Ambe offshore block in the Cambay basin in Gujarat. It has been developed and executed in collaboration with 2H Offshore using a jack-up rig. The installation is expected to facilitate scalable and cost-efficient development. It is also expected to unlock hydrocarbon potential from offshore discoveries and advance shallow-water development. The block is one of the first discovered small field assets of the country. The SST forms a notable part of the conductor-supported platform development. Drilling operations are likely to commence soon.
