Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has achieved its highest-ever monthly container throughput of 737,682 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in January 2026. The port has surpassed the previous record of handling 711,412 TEUs in December 2025.
In addition, the port has recorded its highest overall cargo throughput of 9.06 million metric tonnes (mmt) in January 2026, exceeding its previous record of 8.96 mmt handled in December 2025.
