Lodha Group has signed another memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to invest more than Rs 1 trillion in the state for the development of large-scale data centre infrastructure. This commitment is over and above the Rs 300 billion data centre investment agreement that the group had entered into with the state government four months ago under Maharashtra’s Green Integrated Data Centre Park policy.
With the combined investment now standing at Rs 1.3 trillion, the proposed development will span around 2.5 gigawatts (GW) of data centre capacity, making it the largest data centre park in the country.
Further, the proposed data centre park is expected to generate more than 16,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. Additionally, the facility is designed to host multiple large domestic and international data centre operators, further strengthening Maharashtra’s position as a key hub for digital infrastructure in India.
