The Expert Panel of Government of Punjab (GoP) has approved setting up of a Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant at Bagga Kalan village. It agreed on giving its consent after suggesting technicological amendments in the proposal to remove residues from insecticides and pesticides from biomass.
The plant would process paddy straw to produce biogas promoting an alternative to stubble burning and cleaner energy in the region.
