Centre approves Rs 33.30 billion for flyovers, greenfield corridor, and economic spur projects in Bihar and Jharkhand

The centre has announced the approval of three major infrastructure projects worth Rs 33.30 billion to improve connectivity in Bihar and Jharkhand.

In Jharkhand’s Dhanbad district, two six-lane elevated flyovers on NH-19 at Barwa Adda-Panagarh in Nirsa and Gobindpur have been approved at a cost of Rs 11.30 billion. This project will decongest urban areas with a grade-separated bypass for smooth traffic flow.

In Bihar’s Kishanganj district, around Rs 11.17 billion has been sanctioned for a 24.85 km four-lane spur linking NH-27 and NH-327E. This economic corridor will reduce travel time and connect key nodes, including Siliguri Airport.

Lastly, the Rs 10.82 billion six-lane access-controlled greenfield corridor from Ramnagar to Kachchi Dargah on NH-119D has been approved in Bihar. As a part of the Amas-Darbhanga highway, it will enhance regional connectivity and streamline freight movement.
