Railway Board approves Buramara-Chakulia new railway line project, Illoo-Silli bypass rail line avoiding Muri junction project 

The Railway Board (RB) has approved the Buramara-Chakulia new railway line project and Illoo-Silli bypass rail line avoiding the Muri junction project.

Buramara-Chakulia new railway line project involves the construction of a 59.96 km long new railway line from Buramara to Chakulia in Odisha and Jharkhand at an estimated cost of Rs 14.59 billion.

Illoo-Silli bypass rail line avoiding Muri junction project involves construction of a new 5.9 km bypass line between Illoo and Silli stations while avoiding Muri junction in West Bengal and Jharkhand, entailing an estimated investment of Rs 1.16 billion.
