The Digital Communications Commission (DCC) has approved various telecom infrastructure projects worth around Rs 85 billion. The projects include laying of fibre in all the villages of Tamil Nadu under the BharatNet project at a cost of Rs 18.15 billion. Further, DCC has also approved in-building access by telecom service providers that will allow them to share infrastructure.
