About 20 per cent of the construction work has been completed on the Mumbai-Nagpur Communication Expressway project. The project involves the construction of a 701 km communication expressway from Nagpur to Mumbai, passing through Ghoti, Aurangabad and Amaravati and connecting the regions of Vidarbha, Marathwada and north Maharashtra in Maharashtra. The project, being implemented by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited in 16 packages in the EPC mode, is expected to be completed by 2022.
