Oil India Limited (OIL) announced the spudding of its first exploratory well in Gujarat’s Cambay Basin, Dholi-1, on September 8, 2026. The petroleum exploration licence for the same was granted on February 6, 2026. The milestone marks the company’s entry into a new exploration frontier.
