Advanced networking solutions provider RAD has announced that it has partnered with HBL Engineering to supply a networking solution for HBL’s KAVACH deployment within Indian Railways.
The engagement combines HBL’s expertise in railway signalling and KAVACH solutions with RAD’s networking technology, with the objective of establishing reliable and efficient communication infrastructure for modern railway applications. KAVACH is India’s indigenous automatic train protection system, designed to improve railway safety and support advanced train operations. HBL Engineering has been a significant contributor to its development and deployment, securing multiple contracts across Indian Railways.
Under the agreement, RAD will deliver a customised Layer 2 and Layer 3 industrial-grade networking solution for HBL Engineering’s use in the KAVACH project, engineered to provide ethernet connectivity for mission-critical railway infrastructure, along with a comprehensive management platform.
