Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has emerged as the highest bidder and received letter of award to develop and operate two dry bulk berths at Odisha’s Paradip Port, for a 30-year concession period. The berths will have a combined capacity of 18 million tonnes and will feature mechanised cargo-handling systems and deep-draft facilities.
The project will enhance APSEZ’s ability to handle growing coal, limestone and other dry bulk cargo from eastern India’s mineral-rich hinterland. With the addition, APSEZ’s total cargo-handling capacity will rise to 671 million tonnes per annum, supporting its long-term expansion strategy.
