ONGC and bp have signed a technical services contract. As per the contract, bp has been appointed as the technical services provider for ONGC’s oilfields in the Western Offshore basin. The collaboration aims to reduce natural production falls, enhance hydrocarbon recovery and operational efficiency, and sustain production growth. It is expected to expand the deployment of advanced technologies, strengthen global technical expertise and enhance operating practices. bp will also identify and implement initiatives across reservoirs, wells and production facilities. The basin has 43 blocks and represents ONGC’s most prolific hydrocarbon-producing basin. The agreement follows the technical services contract signed between the two companies for Mumbai High in February 2025.
