Oyster Renewable Energy has commissioned a 52.8 MW wind power project at Dayapar, Gujarat for Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL). The project marks the company’s entry into Gujarat and represents the second phase of the 315.6 MW solar-wind hybrid project being developed for JSL.
The commissioned phase comprises 16 wind turbines with an investment of about Rs 3.85 billion. Once completed, the Gujarat installation will have a total capacity of 99 MW, contributing to the larger 315.6 MW hybrid project, which also includes 216 MW of renewable energy capacity in Madhya Pradesh. The Gujarat wind project entails a total planned investment of about Rs 7.25 billion, while the overall hybrid project involves investments of over Rs 20 billion.
