Microsoft has inaugurated its largest data centre in India in Hyderabad, strengthening its cloud infrastructure as it accelerates its artificial intelligence (AI) strategy in the country. The new India South Central region becomes Microsoft’s fourth cloud region in India, joining its existing facilities in Pune, Chennai and Mumbai.
Microsoft has already signed up Adani Group and HDFC Bank as early customers for the Hyderabad facility.
The technology company has committed approximately $20.5 billion towards expanding its operations in India, driven by the country’s large internet user base and deep technology talent pool.
