Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has announced the winners of its auction to procure power from 250 MW of grid-connected wind power projects (Phase XI). NLC India Renewables secured 100 MW, while Juniper Green Energy and Powerica won 50 MW each. The three companies secured their respective capacities at a tariff of Rs 3.51 per kWh. Cu-Built Renewable Energy secured the remaining 50 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.52 per kWh. GUVNL will enter into power purchase agreements with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years.
The scope of work requires developers to set up grid-connected wind power projects, including the transmission network for connecting the projects to the central transmission utility/state transmission utility network.
