Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) and Modest Infrastructure Private Limited will jointly develop a greenfield shipyard at Ratanpur in Gujarat with an estimated investment of Rs 30 billion. The new yard located on the shores of Gulf of Cambay with waterfront of 1.4 km, will spread over 58 hectares.
The proposed shipyard will be equipped to build one ship of 45,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT), three ships of 20,000 DWT and six offshore support vessels/platform supply vessels a year.
