Several state governments sign reform-linked MoUs with central government under JJM 2.0

Reform-linked memorandum of understanding (MoUs) have been signed between the central government and the state governments of Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Nagaland, Sikkim, Manipur, Bihar and West Bengal and the UTs of Puducherry and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) 2.0. The MoUs mandate a gram panchayat-led, service-based model of water governance, with a focus on community participation and structural reforms to improve O&M of rural water supply systems.
