MoJS launches MAHA Water Mission to strengthen research, innovation and technology adoption across water sector

The Ministry of Jal Shakti (MoJS) has launched the Missions for Advancement in High-impact Areas (MAHA)-Water Mission aimed at strengthening research, innovation and technology adoption across the water sector. The mission focuses on five key themes: water resource assessment and sustainable management; drinking water; water quality and ecological health; water use efficiency and circular economy; and climate resilience and adaptation. With a planned investment of Rs 2 billion, the selected consortiums will be eligible for financial support of up to Rs 200 million to develop, test and deploy innovative water sector technologies.
